There is no status to identify the study as completed. Instead, OpenClinica recommends changing the status of the study to Design and removing users from the Share screen.
Make sure you follow the procedure in your study protocol. If you do not have a procedure in your study protocol, or your protocol permits it, you can use the options below.
Recommended Actions:
To Change the Status of Your Study:
- Click the Settings button on the My Studies screen, and select Settings.
- On the Settings screen, click the Share button in the header.
- Click the Test tab at the top of the screen.
- On the Share screen for that environment, click the Change Status link in the upper-righthand corner of the screen.
- Click the Status field to access a dropdown, and select Design.
- Click the Production tab at the top of the screen.
- Click the Status field to access a dropdown, and select Design.
To Remove Users From Your Study:
- Click the Settings button on the My Studies screen, and select Settings.
- On the Settings screen, click the Share button in the header.
- Click the Test tab at the top of the screen.
- On the Share screen for that environment, click the Remove button next to the user to remove them from the People table.
- Click the Production tab at the top of the screen.
- On the Share screen for that environment, click the Remove button next to the user to remove them from the People table.

Freezing the Data
Data Managers can freeze data at the study or site level. Freezing the data in your study prevents entering or changing data, but allows users to continue to use queries.
Locking the Data
Data Managers can lock data at the study or site level. You can also lock Events. Locking a study, site, or event prevents entering or changing data and using queries.
Note: The system does not require data to be signed before locking it. If the signature is required, sign first and then lock the data.
