2 Design a Study

Study Designer allows you to do more than just build your study – you can collaborate with colleagues, create and archive as needed, and move or copy forms or events from one location to another within the study.

A running history is tracked on the right of the screen that you can view at any time. Click the < to access the design history. You can also filter the design history by providing a date range for any design changes.

To archive a form, access the form card. Then, from the form menu, select Archive:

This removes the form from the selected event. If a study had been previously published and a form was later archived and the study re-published, that form is no longer available within that event.

To archive a form version, click the menu beside the version you want to archive and select Archive. If the study had been previously published with that form version, and the form version was later archived and the study re-published, that form version no longer exists in ANY event in the study.

To archive an event, click the event menu and select archive. This archives the event as well as all forms in that event. If the study had been previously published and an event was later archived and the study re-published, that event is no longer available within the study.

To restore archived forms and/or events use the Archived Items link in the menu bar.

You can restore or download specific versions of forms by accessing the Forms tab on the Archives panel:

The gear icon provides easy access to edit study settings, configure user roles, or request access to add-on modules.

Access the Need Help? button in Study Designer for step-by-step instructions on designing your study and collaborating with others throughout the process.
